Cavendish House is a recently restored Victorian home situated on 1.5 acres in the bucolic village of Cavendish, Vermont. The spacious 7 bedroom 4.5 bath home sleeps up to 20 people and is fully furnished and supplied to make your vacation complete.

			Relax and enjoy this home away from home, with its casual atmosphere and comfortable surroundings. The living room is the ideal place to kick back and relax after a long day on the slopes or hiking trails. The dining room is a great place to plan your day or evening activities with a cup of tea or coffee. There are also several cozy nooks in the house, where you may catch up on a good book or write postcards home. In the evening watch the stars from the chairs on the wrap-around porch or from the 6-person hot tub.

			Cavendish House is equipped with a gourmet kitchen. It’s a great place to try your hand at that recipe that you’ve been meaning to try or bake up a batch of homemade cookies. Many people take advantage of the spacious country kitchen but if you want to dine out, there are several great restaurants nearby. One of our favorites is Al Dente's Pasta Ristorante serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

				The cozy bedrooms are neat and clean. You may want the bedroom with the lovely brass bed or perhaps the one with the handmade quilt. Several of our guests have said they were thankful to have such a warm and homey environment in which to visit. "It’s so much nicer than gathering in a motel room."

			The Cavendish House is located just five minutes from Okemo and 35 minutes from Killington. If you prefer alternative recreation, there are several quaint towns nearby in which to shop, relax or just mill around. Other available activities include snowmobiling, Horse drawn sleigh ride, cross-county skiing and Antiquing.

				You may also want to unwind in the third floor game room. There is a large room with cable television. Or maybe you prefer to play table tennis or billiards. We also have board games for younger children. So the next time you are planning a family reunion or ski weekend, remember Cavendish House. Your home away from home.
